Charity Cicardo is co-owner of Florida Community Services Group Inc. (FSCGI) and its subsidiary Barefoot Realty Group and holds active licenses from the state of Florida as a Realtor®, Community Association Manager and Notary Public.

 

In addition to real estate sales, she oversees the marketing arm of the real estate company.  She has a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Southern Illinois University and a Master's degree in Mass Communications from the University of Denver, Colorado. Ms. Cicardo has worked in the manufactured home industry for the past 25 years.

 

Ms. Cicardo began her career in the industry as the Executive Director of the Federation of Manufactured Homeowners of Florida, a consumer advocacy organization devoted to improving the lives of residents who live in manufactured housing. In this position, she oversaw all operations of the association including working with the organization's in-house counsel and Tallahasee-based legislative counsel on issues of concern to residents. She also assisted both attorneys in crafting legislation beneficial to the needs of homeowners.

 

Ms. Cicardo also sat on numerous state committees and boards representing manufactured home owner issues and challenges. Today, she is often a featured speaker at local and statewide organizations that represent boards of directors in resident owned communities.

 

In 2000, Ms. Cicardo joined FCSGI and assisted with resident conversions and community management. She has directed the management of seven resident owned communities in Florida ranging in size from 100 to 400 spaces, with either cooperative or subdivision form of ownership. Today, Ms. Cicardo is a Realtor® and oversees the management of the company's three real estate offices.

 

During resident purchases, Ms. Cicardo works closely with the homeowners association board of directors and residents to ensure that questions and concerns are addressed.  She coordinates with lenders and paralegals to make sure that every aspect of the resident purchase flows smoothly.
