Favorite Yogisms apply to real estate

Marty Pozgay

I recently heard a quote from famous baseball catcher Yogi Berra. Over the years many quotes have been attributed to Yogi, some correctly and some incorrectly. In either case, many of these sayings can be related to today’s real estate market even though, at the time, they were used in a different context. Think about how each might relate to our current and future real estate environment: •”It ain’t over till it’s over.” •“This is like déjà vu all over again.” •“You can observe a lot just by watching.” •“You’ve got to be careful if you don’t know where you’re going, because you might not get there.” •“If you don’t know where you are going, you will wind up somewhere else.” •“If you can’t imitate it, don’t copy it.” •“It is 90% mental, the other half is physical.” •“It was impossible to get a conversation going because everybody was talking too much.” •“A nickel isn’t worth a dime today.” •“Nobody goes there anymore, it’s too crowded.” •“If you come to a fork in the road, take it.” •“I always thought that record would stand until it was broken.” •“I made a wrong mistake.” Thanks Yogi!
